Travelling is one of the biggest inspirations that you should follow as it not only gives you the opportunity to visit new places but you can also learn a lot from it while having the best time of your life!
Why do I say that?
…
Well, in this post I will give you all the reasons why everyone should at least travel once in their life time.
Reasons Why Travelling Abroad Will Make You Happy
- You are exposing yourself to a brand new environment.
Sometimes being out of your comfort zone is the best way to find yourself spiritually. You will be doing things that you wouldn’t normally do. For example, I am a city girl, all I see when I walk out of my flat are roads, cars, a lot of people and high rise buildings. When I travel to another country I like exploring a different scenario. A few years ago I went to Tenerife and all I wanted to do was to hike, something I would not do in Manchester as I HATE walking! However it is strange that I love walking when I’m outside the city. I always used to go to Jersey Channel Islands and I really enjoyed walking up the hills and mountains even though sometimes it was cold and windy but, who wouldn’t want to be amazed by the views that Jersey has to offer? It was definitely my place to relax!
- You get the chance to meet new people.
I am telling you guys, meeting new people abroad is one of the best feelings you can get. People you meet abroad tend to be your friends for life, you are sharing different cultures and when you are both together you get the best of both worlds. When I went to Cyprus I met someone that is now one of my best friends and she always comes to visit me every year. So next time that you are thinking of going away, put yourself out there and meet new people, don’t be shy, as long as you are safe and you trust them, I would go for it.
- You learn new cultures!
Learning new cultures makes you wiser on what is going on around the world. Usually the people that never left their birth place tend to be more ignorant than those that visit other countries. This is why I am planning to take some time off one day and just travel to different countries just to learn other cultures and build memories that would be useful to teach others about my own life experiences.
- Food, food, and more food!
If you are a foodie, travelling is a fun way to try new foods and learn new recipes. You can also learn a lot about foods that you have never seen or things that you didn’t know were edible for example, in Thailand you can buy insects to eat.
- Believe it or not but travelling is a good investment for the future.
Travelling will inspire you to do something with your life. This is because you get to see the outside world and it will give you ideas on how you can improve yourself to live a happy life. I guess this is why many people end up retiring abroad because they fall in love with a particular foreign country and find out that the way of living is much easier than their current country. Most people invest their savings on a property because it tends to be cheaper in other countries, other people invest on education or work, or even start their own businesses abroad. Therefore, travelling gives you a vision of better things.
- Travelling will make you happy.
Travelling will make you happy because it is a chance for you to find yourself. It is a chance for you to be free and do whatever you want without being judged by those around you.
Sometimes a new environment is needed when you are stressed with work or other life problems. Travelling gives you a change to reflect on what is going wrong in your life. It is a break from reality.
However, sometimes you might have a bad experience from travelling but do not let it stop you from travelling again. Just remember that the world is an imperfect place and that things are bound to happen but in the end the good always wins.
Therefore, next time you think about travelling, just do it! It is worth it and I can guarantee that you will not regret it.
