Moving abroad is exciting but the process can be quite daunting, specially if you are planning to move away from all your family and friends or perhaps, in a country that speaks a different language.
Well what can you do?
♥ Firstly, you must take into account that you will need enough money to start up a new life wherever you are planning to go. I would suggest to do your research on the living costs for the destination that you are planning to go to.
♥ Secondly, you need to find out if the country you are planning to move to requires a visa and what type of visas you are eligible to obtain, and what are the requirements for the applications. This also includes any other type of documentations i.e. your passport, bank statements, work permits, and many more.
♥ I would personally start by looking for potential residential areas which would meet my lifestyle goals and weigh out the pros and cons of living there. For example: what is the climate like, work opportunities, living costs, amenities, crime rates, night life, and culture and customs.
♥ Once you have decided on the location, I suggest you start looking for rental accommodation; always make sure they are legit and avoid private landlords. It is always best to apply through reliable agencies.
♥ Depending on whether you decide to look for jobs prior you re-locate or after, you must have a back up plan if it takes longer to find work. Having extra money is always a bonus.
♥ EXTRA TIPS
– Start learning the language – bilingual citizens are more likely to have an advantage to find work
– Attend social events to make friends easily and faster
– Introduce yourself to your new neighbours
– Try new things and enjoy the ride
